    Medical Meal Programs

    Lifelong offers medical nutrition support and grocery delivery to low-income individuals living with chronic illness including those who struggle to prepare food due to health conditions. They serve King County and include nutrition counseling.

    Free Flights for Those in Need

    Angel Flight West provides free air and ground transportation for people needing access to medical care. Volunteer pilots and drivers help patients and families overcome one of the biggest barriers to treatment—getting to the hospital—by offering safe, reliable travel at no cost.

    Food Bank & Delivery

    FamilyWorks serves North Seattle and offers home delivery for groceries. They also run an online ordering system where clients can sign up for a delivered grocery box. Please see their website for more information.

    Pike Place Market

    Seattle’s iconic waterfront market, filled with local produce, fresh flowers, specialty foods, crafts, and street performers—an essential stop to experience the city’s flavor and energy.

    The market now offers two seasonal locations, open weekly, rain or shine, year round. 34th Street in the summer and in the winter, under the Fremont Bridge.

    University Village

    University Village is an outdoor shopping area that is great to walk around, eat and take-in the beautiful gardens. Check out their Summer Concert Series which are free to attend and down the street from Transplant House!

    The newly redesigned Waterfront Park is a must see! Here you will find gorgeous views of the skyline, Mount Rainier and the Ocean Pavillion.

    Burke-Gilman Trail

    This trail is a popular recreational trail for all! The Burke-Gilman follows the historic route of a former rail corridor, previously owned by Burlington Northern Railroad.
